Commission Guidelines & 50% Deposit
A note from me: I will no longer be taking pet portraits or commissions for anything other than wild animals or wild landscapes, unless we are already in talks. Going forward I would like to shift my focus completely to wildlife.
Over the years it has brought me so much expansive creative pleasure to explore these other subjects - pet portraits, house portraits, etc - but at the end of the day, I recognize that I'm in a stage where I need to focus more on my own exploration & ideas in order to truly grow. If you've ever commissioned work from me, please know that you've supported me not only financially but also creatively. I wouldn't be here without you!
Thank you for considering commissioning artwork with me! If you are reading this, chances are we have already spoken about your piece. This page goes over some of the finer details of the process. Please read these guidelines before you decide to go this route. There will be a message box at check-out where you can include as many notes about your artwork as you'd like. In the drop-down menu below you can select the size of your piece.
SIZE & DIMENSIONS: Here are some examples of pricing for popular drawing sizes. If the size/dimension you're looking for isn't on this list please email me at [email protected] and we'll go from there!
5" x 5" - $250 ($125 deposit)
8" x 10" - $480 ($240 deposit)
11" x 14" - $925 ($462 deposit)
16" x 20" - $1920 ( $960 deposit)
DEPOSIT: I require a 50% deposit before starting the artwork. This deposit guarantees you a slot in my calendar.
TIMELINE: I will start the artwork during the time-slot you sign up for (time-slots are one month,) and it will be shipped on the 1st of the following month if the remaining balance has been paid on time. If the 1st falls on a weekend, it may not ship until the following week.
PAYMENT: The remaining 50% payment for the artwork is due upon completion of the artwork, after which the artwork will be delivered/shipped.
SHIPPING: You will cover all shipping costs if shipping is necessary.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS: You will own the original physical drawing of the artwork on paper. I, the artist, will own the intellectual rights of the artwork including the right to replicate. I may choose to reproduce the artwork and sell prints of it in the future or use it to advertise my work on my website/instagram.
LOGOS: If this commission is for work that you will need to replicate, such as a logo, please email me at [email protected] (and do not submit a deposit through this form.)
GIFT STATUS: Please let me know if the artwork is a gift or surprise for someone, in which case I will not post progress shots online until after the recipient of the artwork has received their gift.
FRAMING: Commissions do not include frames, but if you would like the artwork to be framed this is a service I also offer! Alternatively you may decide to get your portrait framed elsewhere.
